Ms. Amy was born and raised in Costa Rica, but moved to Texas in 2011. Her big passion is to help people, specially children. She loves their joy, curiosity, imagination and love for life.
She has a BAS in Psychology and an AAS in Early Childhood. and has been working as an educator and group therapist for 15 years, teaching toddlers through preschool, as a trainer, parenting coach and group co-therapist for children with special needs.
She has been honored by the Texas House of Representatives as an Honorary Texan in 2013 for her labor with children and the Amanda Hernandez Endowed Scholarship at Austin Community College.
On her free time she enjoys swimming, going to the lake, reading, spending time with family and gardening.
